The Least, Yet The Greatest

So often, I hear people talk about how little they are…how they are worthless. I see people who don’t feel like they any skills or gifts. I look around the world and see many people that, in the worlds eyes, have it all…from athletic ability to intelligence.

Now then, let’s be honest for just a little bit. Yours truly is not all that smart. I don’t have athletic ability or any talents that stand out. To be truthful, you can ask my mentor and he would even tell you that I’m not even all that theological. Still, God has chosen me to lead this ministry…and that is very humbling to me.

Why? That’s a question I have often asked myself. Still, I look at all the people from the Bible…then think about who God chose. You see, all of the people in the Bible that God had chosen…down to the disciples of Christ, were all the least possible. God has made a career from using the least to do the most.

Sure, there are many out there that are more qualified than others to do things. Many of them grow to become rich or popular. Still, think about those people. What is it that the rich look for? Money, they never seem to have enough. Point is, to be the best…is not always the best thing in life.

Those that have nothing to lose and everything to gain always fight harder. It’s those that have nothing else to live for but God’s will that usually strive harder to walk closer to Him. Never, I mean NEVER, let this world make you feel like you are nothing.

It’s when we are nothing to this world that God can do the biggest things with us. It doesn’t move too many heads when a strong man saves a life. Let a weak man do it and watch how much attention is given. Point…when God uses the least, they become the greatest. When He uses the unlikely, He can touch more lives. Be strong in you faith, especially when you feel like nothing. To this world you may be the least, but to God you are the greatest.

"I've learned one thing in my years of ministry, and that is the 'Truth.' There is only one absolute 'Truth,' and that is Christ. No matter who you are, where you are from, or even what you have done there is one 'Truth' that will never fail you and that is that Jesus died for you, loves you, and would do it all again if He had to. Let no one ever lead you to believe you don't deserve God's love and mercy, because honestly none of us do."

Sincerely yours in Christ,
